Of course with this approach you are also putting the screen in the equation and that is a further advantage!
The software is saying the measured light level may be lower than optimal. When this happens with the meter facing the projector (Spyder5), you simply have to move the meter closer to the projector. The SpyderX faces the screen and the distance to the screen does not affect the measured brightness, so the software tells you to move the projector closer to the screen, which in many cases is not practical. Instead, you can adjust the zoom to project a smaller image, which will give you more brightness.This worked. Thank you!
Gamma w/spyder x running on user 1 right now. Can I knock out all the gamma calibrations for users 1-4 before moving onto color and positioning the i1pro2? Or do I have to do each user fully (i.e gamma then color for user1)before moving on to the next?
Sounds Good. Just ran them and went ok. I just hooked up the i1pro2 and now having issues getting it to fall in the orange box after selecting the sensor. I've tried zooming in the picture, but it's acting really finnicky.
It doesn’t really matter about the orange box when using the i1 Pro 2 for color calibration. Color calibration only measures 7 patterns, the 3 primary colors, 3 secondary colors, and white, all 100% luminance so they are very bright and the meter will have no trouble reading them accurately.
The total number of gamma calibrations depends on the colour profiles and lamp power you use for the four user modes. For profiles that engage or disengage the P3 filter, you have to run separate calibrations (unless you choose the option to apply all, which is less accurate).
