After reading here, apparently that was a bad idea on the color side. Seeing as I’m new to this, my first mission is ‘do no harm.’ In that spirit, I’m loading my .init file as I type.
Tbh, I’m not sure the spyderX drastically altered the factory color settings but I have no empirical way to prove it.
I like the changes Autocal made, using a SpyderX for gamma and i1Pro2 for color.Where to from here? If I wanted to keep tinkering a bit - what pieces of hardware or software is the natural next step?
How much did you pay for the i1pro?

If you get the EFI or x-rite used, is software readily available for calibrating computer monitors, especially recent Mac OS? Extra cost? I’d perhaps only justify getting one if it could pull double duty. The spyder 5 I got not long ago is already useless given it’s neither supported by JVC or Datacolor on recent macOS.
I once again read contradictory statements about the dynamic video range settings in all the elements of the autocal chain and also with a real calibration chain wether HCFR or other like ZRO.So sorry to insist but can someone definitively give me the video range settings as below :1- Autocal chain where the PC's graphic card is not part of the chain as orders are sent to the projector via a LAN connection and sensor connected to a PC's USB input : ==> PC setting = ? ==> Projector setting = ?I haven't seen any such setting in the Autocal application.2- HCFR (or other) calibration chain : ==> PC graphic card setting = ? ==> Projector via PC's HDMI output, setting = ? ==> HCFR setting = ?3- Same as 2- but with a RPI PGen pattern generator in between the PC's hdmi output and the projectorThanks for your patience .......
