Everything is speculation so it's just discussion and banter, don't see the big deal really.
My original Z1 was running the 1.22 ver Firmware... My Replacement is running 1.23ver .1.23 isnt listed on the JVC website... anyone now what is different between the 2 firmwares? One observation i have noticed , is the inbuilt Focus"/Zoom/Shift patterns are very different from ver 1.22. Might be my imagination ( only got 6 hrs on it thus far) , but i swear the Dynamic dimming is also "different" ?
Well that’s very interesting. Maybe Mike or Craig can inquire?
I guess they have to feel somewhat comfortable with it if they are delivering new projectors with it...!
Have the answer on the new firmware.1. Max CLL and FALL data now displays on info page.2. Improves reading of HLG flag.
Ahh, makes sense - we've seen screenshots of other JVC projectors that show the Max CLL and FALL data on the info page.HLG won't make any difference to me, but it's good that JVC improved it.Thanks for sharing. I'm still loving my RS4500. I'm up to 940 hours (just reached my 1 year anniversary). I'm enjoying it with Netflix, Amazon and YouTube streaming, my movie server (1841 HD movies, 270 UHD movies and a ton of other content). I also now have a date with Chad B. My projector had already been calibrated and now that I have the Lumagen I'm not sure this is really needed but I'm damn curious about his custom HDR gamma curves...
