JVC RS4500 (native 4K laser projector)

I just wrapped up a " Fast And Furious Film Festival " last night with the 8th film . Looked great on my RS4500 with the Panamorph Paladin DCR lens, and the soundtrack was off the charts ! Everyone loved it ! On to some new movies !

Have Z1/RS4500 users kept tabs on the light output since new?

This is just a curiosity...

My original unit had 700 hrs on it before my replacement arrived. Over the 700hrs i had "Zero" loss in brightness from new..

This is using "High" laser for HDR and "Med" laser for SDR.

What are other users finding.

I checked recently when I was measuring the difference with and without the Panamorph DCR lens. I had around 725 hours when I measured if I recall. The lumen measurements and foot lamberts for SDR ( low laser setting ) and HDR ( mid laser setting ) haven't changed since Chad B's calibration. The numbers are also nearly identical to Jeff Meier's post calibration numbers one year ago. Of course adding the DCR lens and Lumagen added a large amount of lumens for scope - so scope movies are now brighter than before !

I liked it better than "Arrival", but still think it's a one time view for me. "The Shimmer" was a pretty cool concept and Natalie Portman did a nice job.

Arrival is one of my favorite films.
