Guys sharing this here as I don't won't to post 'wide' to the community. I've gotten further follow up regarding the next gen to the 4500. Exciting, but expensive stuff.. We're talking a native 8K panel this time. However hold on to your hats, its going to be circa $80K MSRP so don't get too excited! No further details at this stage, so who know right now what other changes will be made in this next generation. Expect all to be unveiled at IFA Berlin. Same goes for the lower series new models

I thought I heard the same thing. Its 4K + eshift. TI seems to be doing the same thing with their native 4K DMDs but adding their own "XPR" eshift solution.

I'm about 99% certain it won't be native 8K.

Agree 100% that I find it hard to believe that this will have native 8k panels.   I also don't think there will be another model that replaces the RS4500 directly for at least another year or 2. 

I would think that there should be fairly big updates coming to the lower models and native 4k has to be at the forefront.   Wouldn't be surprised to see maybe a the top tier a laser light source at a price point below the RS4500 that directly competes with the 885/760.

The RS4500 doesn't need replacing. It's matured into a great projector, especially with the Paladin DCR lens. At my current rate of use, mine won't be too dim before 2027 as far as I can tell. If then even. Maybe more like 2035.

The JVC VS4700 is out which replaces the VS4500 with some slightly better contrast specs and a few other changes.  Seems logical that this could translate to an RS4700 as well.

There hasn't been one projector made where that statement wasn't true - including the VW5000. I doubt if that's coming this year though. And if you are looking for better contrast with 4K DLP projectors .......

This is just a VS4500 with eshift. Nothing more to see. Except a much higher price tag. Other than 8K eshift, it has the same specs as the VS4500.

Contrast Ratio - >12,000:1 minimum

Bottom end contrast spec has gone up slightly.
