JVC DLA-RS1000/N5 & RS2000/NX7 Owners Thread

I just received an email regarding a JVC 2000 upgrade. Any other information as to where to get it and how to download it into the projector? I just looked at the JVC web site and saw nothing.
Thanks

Any idea when you will have the RS2000 back in stock/shipping recent orders?  Asking for a friend. ;)

Thanks, Mike, for the quick response.  The “friend” was really me, since I placed an order last week.  I thought the smiley would give it away.

Going from a 1080P projector to 4K for the first time, I could be a little impatient?

The new firmware looks very exciting. You input screen size and screen gain. You also can select screen material. For scope screens you would calculate the 16:9 size using scope screen width. The projector then measures the zoom position of the lens, high or low lamp, iris setting and lamp hours. Then the projector optimizes the HDR for your specific setup. On top of that, it automatically adjusts as the lamp ages. Note for scope screen users using lens memory, the different zooms will be used automatically in the calculations. Also taking care of those with Lumagen.

"On the RS2000/3000 adding new color profile so you can do max brightness (no CMS) with and without the color filter engaged.  So, for a customer with an external CMS like Lumagen."

For those that still use it, JVC will be adding a new collaborative mode that can be used with the Panasonic UB9000 when it's using its HDR Optimizer tool.

Do you have a link here, or can you provide any additional details on this?  I've read everything I can find on the new firmware, but this is the first I've heard about this 'collaborative' mode - sounds interesting!

I don't think there is more info - yet. Maybe there will be more at the virtual Cedia on the 15th.

Do you know more about this? Will this also involve a firmware update to the UB9000? Thanks.

Unfortunately, I don't have any other information on this. I was told an update to this collaboration was coming with the new firmware. Though, to be honest, I don't know why anyone would want to use this over the DTM solution available to the projector. It's considerably better overall.
