Just adjusted my settings after loading the latest firmware in anticipation of watching the original Avatar in 4K tomorrow and the new Avatar 4K disc Saturday. Just a brief test run and it looks really good so far!

Yeah they did a very nice job. Def a brighter image with same shadow detail/black level. Thing continues to impress

I must say that watching the original Avatar on 4K Blu-ray last night was spectacular. With Dpad set to 1 ( it was set on 3 ) the picture looked incredible and better than it ever has. Very pleased!

DTM Desaturation Update:
 
We have released Beta 061223 with the enhanced desaturation feature. There were only a couple scene that were less than perfection, and Patrick is working on changes to fix these, and similar scenes that used less than the  optimal portion of the intensity range. The next Beta with improvements for these “flyer” scenes should be available in one to two weeks.
