Synopsis:  A family fights for survival as a planet-killing comet races to Earth. John Garrity, his estranged wife Allison, and young son Nathan make a perilous journey to their only hope for sanctuary. Amid terrifying news accounts of cities around the world being leveled by the comet’s fragments, the Garritys experience the best and worst in humanity while they battle the increasing panic and lawlessness surrounding them. As the countdown to global apocalypse approaches zero, their incredible trek culminates in a desperate and last-minute flight to a possible safe haven.

The movie is surprisingly good, but it's disappointing that the 4K disc isn't being released with an Atmos soundtrack.  Don't get me wrong, my HTP-1 did a fantastic job upmixing with DTS Neural X (it's demo worthy to show the extra values tops can add to a 7.1 mix), but I would have loved to compare it to a native Atmos mix.

Haven't seen it, disaster movies are probably 2nd on my aversion list after horror.

However... I don't usually place a lot of weight on my attraction to an actress but Morena Baccarin is an exception :-*

LOL...good to know you have standards that you follow ;) :)

I'm with you though...Bacccarin is very easy on the eyes.

I'm not big on disaster movies either, which is one of the reasons it was surprisingly good.

Totally agree. It was more of a "human condition" story.
