Got the Finnish action / war movie Sisu last week and I've already watched it twice. Think " Nobody " or " John Wick " and " Inglorious Bastards " had a love child set in Lapland in 1944! This thing is a hoot. The picture on 4K Blu-ray with my RS4100 is off the charts good, and the soundtrack isn't half bad either. Apparently " First Blood " was the film maker's inspiration - Everything You Need to Know About 'Sisu,' The Must-See Finnish Action Movie of the Moment | GQ

Releasing it in English was a smart move - many people won't watch subtitled movies ( including some of my friends ), so I'm sure that got a larger audience. Highly recommended for action film fans!

Really looking forward to watching this one.

Shot for $6.5M, and it sounds like it's going to be more fun that many of the big-budget features we've been getting lately.
My Room:  26’-1” X 17’-4” X 10’

Sometimes less is more. I just looked up " Nobody " - $16 million budget.

My wife said " what movie did you watch last night? I heard everyone scream multiple times " when we watched it Tuesday night - ha! This movie is a hoot - just as fun the 2nd time, especially with 6 guests jumping out of their seat numerous times ( luckily keeping ahold of their wine glasses ). It is bloody so not for those that don't enjoy " John Wick " or war movies.

Just watched this tonight. Damn, that was a fun ride. Mad Max in Lapland vs Nazis, is the way I'd describe it. Dark, violent, pretty grisly at several points. My wife loved it as much as me, and she tends to shy away even more than me from the uber-violent ones. I think it's b/c there were clearly evil dudes being killed/dismembered etc plus women being enslaved & abused.

I'm still kind of trying to figure out why I like some movies, like this and The Suicide Squad, that are very violent while others like John Wick, I didn't. Maybe it's b/c Sisu & TSS are a little more removed from reality, and have some humor? (Albeit VERY dark in Sisu.)

bmoney - yes it's mostly in English, though there isn't a lot of dialog especially from our hero.
