BTW I see the AZ Cardinals are hiring the Philly DC Gannon as their new coach.

MAN would I love to have been a fly on the wall when they asked him to explain how the f his D gave up a wide open TD, TWICE, on the same gimmick motion play. (The "corn dog" play where the KC WR motioned then stopped and reversed, ending up wide open - early in the 4th to take KC's first lead at 28-27 then later ran to the opposite side to extend the lead to 35-27.)

But good for the Bengals as they keep their great DC Lou Anarumo, who has really impressed me and was the 2nd finalist for that job.

Cheffers has a rep of being a ref whose crews call pretty tight games and throw flags. Bradberry and all the players probably knew that going in and probably should have factored that into any calculated type plays, as he admitted this was.

But the issue of what would have happened if the flag wasn't thrown is hypothetical. We don't know for sure, and if KC ended up kicking a FG right there with a fair bit of time left for Philly and the game goes to OT or Hurts somehow leads a TD drive to outright win it, you better believe there's some grousing about that potential hold call. So much of the officiating commentary is game results based unless it's really egregious.

(Or both... *ahem*)

Right it’s true we don’t know what would have happened. But throwing the flag guaranteed the game being over. That’s the issue.

Then he shouldn't have held his jersey.

I guess this is just going to go back and forth. Especially since you REALLY didn’t want the eagles to win lol

This is a better shot of the hold than we got on TV... and much better support for the flag being thrown.
