Solid core. Kinda been slacking on getting it bought and put in. Lol. My father in law the builder will put it in for me

Velvet panels built and installed. You can see the pink fluffy behind the screen. Filling all cavities I ran a little short but will go back and put more in

Like I said in Mike’s thread, I didn’t have much luck making an acoustical impact in my front soundstage but since you’re going ahead and doing it, make sure not to stack the pink stuff on itself. Either staple it or build some shelving support every couple of feet. This stuff changes dramatically under compression.

kind of stalled with building...kind of funny how that happens.

started the fabric panels and cleaned out HD of all their wood i use for them....used them up...now jjst have to wait for more wood to come in.

decided on large panels that go vertically since i already established a "seam" with the velvet panels....also started making 2x2 panels....and if i did that (although might look cool) would take me FOREVER..lol...ex. i did 32 sq' in about 45 mins with the large panels, and 8 sq' with small panels in 2 hours

All panels will either have oc703, lineacoustic, or poly batt depending on locationion. This one has oc703 with scrim pieces for some deflection

Will this be the extent of your room treatments or will you add any broadband absorption panels at lateral (and contra-lateral) reflection points?  What about back wall?

i will have a mixture between absorption and refelctive panels (basically untreated panels or OC703 with the foil tape on them) on both side walls and rear walls.

I used this same type setup in version 1.0 and it worked very well...that along with dirac

thanks!  I was so torn between the two...but making larger panels is just well, easier.  Easier and faster. I can always change them down the road should I care to for color and/or size.  they are only held in with a few brad nails and should be easy to replace

I was stressing over it, and my wife made a good point....no one will see it when the lights are off (and even then in 5 years we had ONE couple over to watch a movie in version 1.0)

the next few panels are gonna be tricky...making a "C" shape....ill figure it out 

then the back wall should be fast.....
then the next big challenge is to figure how to create a large removeable panel to cover the electrical panel.

also the door..and its fabric panels lol
