I say upper-end because near the top, but not THE top, is where I try to buy - getting longevity and value. Now, what I want is ample power without adding a separate amp at this point. I'm planning to run a 7.4.4 Atmos system (splitting off the 2 sub outs). I loved my previous Onkyo (876), with exceptional features/$. Great power and sound (to me, at least), and plenty of features to last me. Of course, what has me updating is height speakers. I love the Audessey implementation with it, and now I hear Onkyo's dropped them and went proprietary. The general concensus is not good....So, I believe I've narrowed it down to the Denon X4300H. It doesn't have 11 amps, but I've already bought an inexpensive Audiosource for the rear heights. It has Audessey MultiEQ XT 32, decent power, and what seems to be future readiness for some time. With that in mind, what do you trusted guys and girls have to recommend, and why!??? Thanks so much for the help!Ronman79
I myself am a Denon man. The X4300H is good. If you didn't have that amp, I'd recommend the X6300H. And there are a couple of Marantz and Yamaha choices that are similar. I myself like Audyssey XT32, which is one reason I stick with Denon.
Thanks for the help, folks! I'm thinking, unless something else changes my mind, it's the Denon X4300!
I too have an X7200WA, but that's top of the line for Denon, and Ronman specified not the top model.
