Indeed.  I also changed the settings on my AVR, so the OnScreenDisplay doesn't turn on to show when I start adjusting the volume!!8)
This ! Also, I hate to say it, but one man's " Disney emasculated that soundtrack " is another man's " at least my wife won't complain if it's turned up a bit " . ;D

The key is to start the movie at a moderate volume, and then gradually turn it up over the first ten minutes.  :)
Yup. Having your wife walk in on Hacksaw Ridge right when the battleships start shelling - at reference - sends my wife right back out. It's like boiling a frog - start warm, then slowly turn up the heat ( power ) . 8)

Haha... my wife walked in on me playing Interstellar for a guy's night. She screamed, literally screamed b/c she thought my 2 Hsu VTF-15s were going to shake the house apart in the black hole scene. (She didn't stay out dancing with her gal pals long enough!) I can't imagine her reaction to Craig's subs or some of the other real bassheads out there.

It was really Apple TV that helped me turn the corner.  The interface is slick, it is reliable, and by setting it to always output HDR/60, I get virtually no projector sync delays!  Plus, I love the SDR to HDR conversion job it does.

I generally dislike Apple products, and use Roku for streaming... but I'd change just for that particular device/service if they are better...

Do you think there is a noticeable difference in the two?
