I didn't get a chance to look at it, but I don't trust Optoma to produce a top tier home theater projector these days. The last decent one they made in my opinion was the H79. I would recommend waiting for Art at projectorreviews.com and Kris or others at Sound and Vision to measure some numbers. My guess is the contrast is very low.

Last year I picked up a cold or something there that made me sick for 4 weeks! I had to buy stock in kleenex it was so bad. I find CES to be far more disorganized, far more crowded, and have less home theater equipment ( compared to other stuff like drones ) than Cedia. Cedia is by far the better home theater show. 1/2 the people, twice the stuff to see that I'm interested in ! And it's pretty much all in one place at Cedia. CES is spread out over Las Vegas. You waste an hour going from the Venetian to the convention center.

Totally agree with this!  I always liked doing CEDIA with TAW much better than CES!
