Blow out sale on remaining stock open box RS420's, $2,499. We also have B-stock starting at $1,999. This is for the few remaining in stock. If looking for a great deal on the entry level JVC, call us now.

Here's another goofy rating.

Acer DLP, MSRP $3999, got a 4 star which makes it about equal to the RS440 in MSRP price and rating based on their take.  My guess is he's taking laser as part of the "performance" but still.  The laser doesn't come anywhere near making for what it loses to the JVC (for most people).

Quite a contrast multiplier - " The projector’s highest standard dynamic range contrast ratio was achieved with the Rec.709 color preset and Dynamic Black mode active. With this combination, black level measured 0.003 ft-L and peak white 44 ft-L for a contrast ratio of 14,666:1. Contrast ratio in the same preset with Dynamic Black turned off was 508:1. Maximum light output was measured at 110 ft-L with contrast set to maximum in Bright mode with Eco mode switched off. "
14,666:1 is pretty good, but I'd guess to get there from 508:1 means artifacts. There would have to be.
