I am ashamed to say that I have a whole line up of remotes and run everything from its own factory remote.  (wife loves that) I also have a stand alone Van Alstine hybrid tube amp for the 2 front channels that does not even have a remote. It is all manual.  Adding the extra amp allows me to run 11.2 Atmos set up with the Yamaha.   But I think your point is good- to allow plenty of time for each component to fully activate before turning on the next one, and to play around with power up sequence.  I always turn on projector first, receiver second and only after I get the illuminated blue screen, and source third.  I will try a different sequence/order.  Thanks.

I'd try source device first, receiver 2nd and projector last as the order.

I had a customer send me this today regarding his new RS2000 -

" Hi Craig,
I watched 2001 4K HDR last night and the space scenes were Astonishing!!

This is the image I have been searching for since I started this hobby over 20 years ago, always pursuing the best black level with brightest highlights. The stars in space and the light reflected off of the ships and objects were really incredible.

Very happy with the upgrade. "

I love when folks are super happy - in this case with the JVC RS2000 !

Just a reminder, JVC continued the free lamp coupon for the RS2000 until end of March.

Until the ban is lifted in CA, availability of the RS2000 and RS1000 is going to be limited. Probably will run out, before ban is lifted, especially on the RS2000. JVC USA has projectors, but due to the ban caused by the Coronavirus , they can't get them into distribution.

Sad news. Those on the fence better jump to one side soon. Otherwise they may face months long wait for new stock to arrive.

JVC distribution is out of RS1000's and RS2000's at this time. So we are down to dealer stock, for what is available. We currently have all three models available.

Hi Everyone-

Finally got my Nx7 ceiling mounted yesterday.  This is my first projector and having issues lining up the picture perfectly w/my 16:9 135" Silver ticket screen.  The throw distance is 17 feet.  I am on the 3.1 fw

I was tinkering with the menus and can't quite figure out how to get the corners in the focus/shift/zoom screen to match the corners of my screen.

when i first powered on the projector, 1/2 of the image was on the ceiling.  I initially used the focus/shift/zoom screen to get the image on the screen, but decided to just physically move the projector via my mount to get the image on the screen.  I assume that's better.

I adjusted the keystone to -12 which got rid of the angles, but again the image on the focus/shift/zoom screen still is angled and not lined up.

There was an option for Zoom, auto, and native.  Which one of these should i pick?

Am i missing an option to display the image in 16:9?

Lastly, when doing initial settings, I was told to use the following:

SDR:  user1, 709 color profile, 6500K, and 2.2
HDR: Frame adapt HDR mode, frame by frame, +/- wide filter, hdr level medium

I've adjusted 4k tv's before and I had to be on an hdr source to make adjustments, otherwise it would just adjust the sdr settings.  Do i need to be on an sdr source to adjust sdr settings and an hdr source/video to make adjustments for HDR or can I do it all at once?

Thanks in advance.

Turn off Keystone. The projector should be shooting straight ahead. Then you use lens shift and zoom to fit the image to the screen. Reduce the size of the image, slightly smaller than your screen and take a picture of the whole screen. I like to do this on input 2 of the projector, if that input is not being used. That way I get a nice blue image that shows up well on screen.

If considering an RS2000, I would highly recommend purchasing before end of this month. :)
