SVS Cylinder Subs
« on: November 14, 2016, 05:34:53 PM »
I have owned an SVS cylinder sub for over 8 years at this point. I did have a 20 - 39 PCI sub originally. I currently have twin PC12 + subs. I think cylinder subs in general and SVS cylinder subs in particular, are the best " bang of the buck " available. Any other cylinder sub owners ?

I had the OG cylinder back in 2000 I think maybe even 99?

I went from the cs25-31 powered by samson s500 to cs 20-36 powered by samson s1000 to cs20-36+

I loved that sub...had it until about 2006 when I moved into a condo....

Three ?! With war movies, that will be like having three of these going off next to you -

A cylinder is a great design, from an engineering standpoint. Only need to make sure the ends are stiff, the cylinder walls take care of themselves, as far as pressure goes. Less required bracing, means more internal volume per CF exterior size and less weight.

Rattle Battle ! When you have two SVS PC12+ cylinder subs, and like watching movies like " Hacksaw Ridge " loud, things can rattle. Loctite to the rescue !  8)

The word condo and sub do not go well in the same sentence. :)

Just do it!  :D

while the bright blue display is cool it's not the best for a home theater room.  Hopefully there is an option to turn it off.
