Do you guys prefer the iris fixed or one of the autos (1 or 2)?

I originally planned to not use the iris, but it is a pretty good dynamic iris implementation and I am using it. I can't remember which setting, but I believe #2.

anyone else adjust the contrast depending on which UHD disc they are watching...I mean it literally varies from -13 to +10

what needs to be addressed is the white blooming on some discs...while others are not bright enough

for example...watched Pacific Rim last night -13....watched ghostbusters (2016) and it was +7

I haven't had to, but I have my Panasonic doing the HDR to SDR conversion for me.

I use Auto 1.  To me, it seems to be a little more aggressive on dark scenes and fades to black.

Auto 1. It works quite well, with my manual iris set at -7 .

I usually keep mine on auto 2 for non-HDR sources, but either auto setting seems to work well.  Since the auto iris doesn't work with UHD w/HDR signals, leave it set to manual and adjust the setting to close down the iris if you like.

yes

That's why I'm not watching with HDR - making changes that large from movie to movie is a total pain it would seem. Using the Integral to convert HDR to SDR has made 4K pretty much plug n play, which is exactly how I like it. The picture looks outstanding.
