Watched it last night. I really liked it. Not too gory at all
The one sex scene is skippable so I think my daughter could def watch it.
I’m not a huge horror fan but this one was a very cool watch.
Thanks for chiming in. While not for everyone, I think there's appeal for a broader audience than horror fans, which is why it did so well at the box office.

My wife and I got the 4K UHD disc from the library and watched it last night. We were both bored. They banked heavily on pleasing the fans of baby Grogu, but I'm afraid that ship has sailed. My wife is the prime target for that audience, but as soon as he appeared on screen and made his cute little gurgling/cooing sounds, she let out a depressed sigh. His antics are a big part of the movie, and the charm wears off quickly. Not to mention that his use of the force comes and goes at the most opportune times. There are also a lot of other plot inconsistencies that one has to be generous to overlook. I really liked the first two seasons of the TV show and hoped that strip mining the best parts of a fourth season would make for a good movie, but there's still a lot of filler and it could easily have been trimmed down to under two hours without losing anything of importance. There's plenty of fighting action, but even that is uninspired when compared to what we see in a John Wick film, for example. I'll mention three positives. First, unlike the recent releases from Disney, it doesn't sound like they've reduced the bass at all for this disc, with plenty of subwoofer action. Secondly, the overall production design looks better than some of what we've seen lately out of Disney's Star Wars. There's nothing groundbreaking here, but it's more interesting that what we've come to expect. Thirdly, Barry mentioned the feel of a Harryhausen film. This is due to the work by Tippett Studios, who used good old stop motion for one of the sequences. Tippet's work goes back all the way to the original Star Wars, where he animated the creatures on the chessboard which also make an appearance in this movie. Sadly, it was recently announced that his studio has filed for bankruptcy and many of his Star Wars items have been auctioned off. It's a sad end for the Oscar winning special effects guy who has worked on all kinds of blockbusters over the years. For those interested in his work, check out my review of Mad God. It's filled with stop motion animation, but unrelentingly dark and depressing. It's worth viewing for the imaginative work involved, despite the relative crudeness. It's not a movie for children, though. And here's a good retrospective of his work, including mentions of Harryhausen:

Well, I watched it tonight, and the violence/blood was tolerable, and really didn't impact my overall opinion of the movie one way or the other.
But I guess I'm not the target audience as I can't say I enjoyed or appreciated it. I just didn't "get it." I mean I understood what was going on, but I just didn't 'connect' with it on any level. I have no desire to rewatch it, so glad I didn't have to spend any money on it!
I'm sure this says more about me than it says about the movie, but you did ask me to report back! 
Sorry you didn't care for it, but relieved that it wasn't too gross for you. I'm well away from the age of the characters but could still relate to how a poor, selfish decision can have unexpectedly horrible consequences. And watching it for free at least removes the financial sting. Thanks for replying; I'm genuinely curious about what others think about it.

If you're OK with the John Wick movies, you should be able to tolerate this one.
Let us know what you think after you watch it. Others may be interested a non-horror fan's perspective, especially considering just how popular the movie was in theaters.
It's not demo material for audio or video, so Peacock should be a fine, low-risk option.

If she's OK with the violence of the Scream films, she should be OK with this one. You may want to preview it first. --------------------------- Mild Spoiler --------------------------- I don't readily recall how much sex there is in the Scream movies, but this one may have a bit more. It's nothing that would deserve a hard R rating, and very brief. And some of the language and dialog are a bit rougher in this movie than I remember from the Scream movies. I would think it would be OK for someone 16+, but that depends on the maturity of the kid. If you don't want to watch the entire movie to prescreen it, skip to the 1:27:00 mark to see the most intensely violent scene. Disclosure: Timestamp was provided by a third-party website; the movie has already been returned to the movie, so I can't verify.
