I been true quite a few Blu Ray players before i setteled with the 2 OPPO 103D im using at the moment, ill list the ones i remember.

SONY BDP 5000ES
Denon BD 3800
Denon BDP 4010UD
Denon BDP a100
Denon DVD A1UD
Cambridge Audio Azur 751BD
Pioneer LX91
OPPO 83
OPPO 93
OPPO 95
OPPO 103D

Wow - that's quite a list ! I'm on my 3rd. I started with a Panasonic ( one of the first available ) that died 2 months out of warranty ( AMEX refunded my purchase price thanks to the extra year of warranty ). I bought an Oppo 83, which was great until I finally broke down and got an Oppo 103, so forum members could test 3D on new projectors. The 103 has been an excellent player. In fact, I still have it in the rack with the Samsung 4K player, so I can swith back and forth between Blu Ray and the 4K Blu Ray, for comparison tests !

Currently I have two BD players. One is a PS3 that I purchased, when it first came out and the second is a Sony BDP-S5100. For a first BD player, the PS3 was a great choice. My first 4K BD player will be the Oppo 203.

I have an Oppo 83 & 103, Panasonic 35 and three models of Sony...I still have two HD-DVD players as well.  :o

In 2007, I purchased two Blu-ray players from Sony & Samsung...returned the Sony due to load times and gave away
the Sammy to a friend...

I have an old PS3 (fat boy), and a Pioneer Elite BDP-80Df for playing Blue Rays, although the Pioneer was bought strictly for ripping SACDs to ISO (then to FLAC) for playing on the NSA.

I finally gave away my HD DVD player and HD DVD's recently, to make room for a 4K Blu ray player. Seems like a lifetime ago when HD DVD first came out !

It's nice to keep the BDP 103 in order to do comparisons of Blu Rays and 4K UHD Blu Rays. So I may keep mine even after the new Oppo 4K player arrives.

I am really anxious to see what it looks like with the 203 on a 4K projector setup!

My one is a older Panasonic DMP-BD60.  But it has been a really good player.  And then reality strikes -- with a fully remodeled and upgraded home theater featuring a Yamha A3060 with Atmos and a somewhat flawed Vizio M55 from last year, I'm waiting for the Samsung 4K UHD K8500 to show up.  And I'm still trying to decide whether to send it back and hold out for the OPPO203.  Now I know I should, but I also need to replace that Vizio due to the 4K issues and this has all cost me a bundle already.  So I'm torn between knowing I should go all the way (screw the cost...) and reining in the expenditures since, being retired, I have no true income.  And then there is my wife who thinks it's all great but also thinks I should have quit about $1500 ago.  Keep in mind that I have to live here...

(One amazing football game is going on -- OK vs OK St!)
Atmos/DTS:X Setup
Yamaha RX-A3060 w/ Elan Z-Fan; Config: 7.2.4 (switchable to 7.2.2 + Zone2)
Mirage Speakers: OM-6 (FLR), MC-si (C), OM-R2 (SLR), FRx-nine (BLR); ELAC A4s (FP), RSL C34Es (RP)
aci Titan subs (2) RP amp: AudioSource AMP100VS
OPPO 203;  LG OLED65B6; Harmony 650 and Hub
