Stuart fails to Save The Universe (or this show)

Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is the third spinoff show from the Big Bang theory.  While there have been many TV spinoffs of individual characters, there have been only a few TV spinoffs featuring most of the supporting cast. I had not seen much of the original show until I was quarantined in Covid. I then saw a few episodes. I thought it was a bit ridiculous but often funny. 

Famously, starring much of a previous supporting cast ,  there was AfterMash, a sequel to Mash and the Golden Girls  also had a sequel entitled The Golden Palace. 

The premise  to Stewart’s is not unique. On the show four supporting cast members of The Big Bang Theory are in the Multiverse. At the end of every episode, they are launched into a New World and a new reality trying to restore the original real reality that they originally  left.

That is actually the plot of a TV show from the early 2000s called Sliders. And another one from Disney entitled  Parallels. I thought this was to be a comedy, and I am apprehensive that they think it is funny. The show shows stabbings, murders, people being beaten and even crushed with their blood being splattered.  It is not the comedy I expected, but a bad drama or a horror show. 

They also publicized that characters from The Big Bang Theory would be used and presented in a different reality. I have now seen three episodes and that is not quite  accurate. They do have the actors that starred in the Big Bang, but they are playing very different roles, not the characters that you expected. And some of them are very vicious and cruel. Some are murderers or want to be.

I won’t be wasting any of my time watching any more of this on HBO Max. In fact, I only watched the third episode so I could write an accurate review. I actually thought this was not just bad but a little bit worse than that.

I watched the first episode and was NOT impressed. Thanks for watching the next two Barry....I'll definitely skip this one. It wasn't anything close to what I was expecting.
