What's the cheapest way to upgrade your home theater? I'd say to treat the room acoustics. What are your thoughts?

Room acoustics is a good start. I would also say to learn how to use REW and MSO (if you have multiple subs). Arguably the combination of those three things have improved my home theater experience.
