I know this doesn't really pertain to Blu-Rays; but someone might want to grill Alan about his MASSIVE film inventory. I have seen the George Eastman archives, and Alan could give them a run for their money; it's really quite amazing what he has amassed over the years in addition to the projectors to view them. I think he keeps them in a secret bunker ...
Hello, I hate to give away my age, I was bitten by the bug decades ago. Believe it or not collecting film is a thriving hobby. Its actually huge over seas.Back in high school we thought the guy running the 16mm film projector was a nerd, now Im that guy:)The three most popular gages are 35, 16 and S8. Collecting 35 takes up a lot of room and its heavy and labor intensebut the PQ rivels the best 4kBD. 16MM can look just as good as 35 and there are some titles on Super 8mm that are amazing in PQ quality. Anyone else on the forum collect film or run an old family projector once in a while?
