From the Disney press release:

The combustible love story of Ivy and Theo Rose ignites at home when Jay Roach’s The Roses, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman, arrives on digital October 21 (Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home) and on Blu-ray, and DVD November 25.

Life seems easy for picture-perfect couple Ivy (Colman) and Theo (Cumberbatch): successful careers, a loving marriage, great kids. But beneath the façade of their supposed ideal life, a storm is brewing – as Theo’s career nosedives while Ivy’s own ambitions take off, a tinderbox of fierce competition and hidden resentment ignites. The Roses is a reimagining of the 1989 classic film The War of the Roses, based on the novel by Warren Adler.

Director Jay Roach brings sharp comedic instincts and a distinctly British edge to this modern portrait of a family in freefall. Balancing biting satire with moments of outrageous humor, he crafts a story of real life gone spectacularly wrong. Critics have taken notice, calling the film “hilarious” and “laugh-out-loud funny.”

Digital & Blu-ray Bonus Materials*

Gag Reel
Featurettes:
  • A House To Fight For – A behind-the-front-door look at the epicenter of both beauty and acrimony. See the construction of the Roses’ home, hear from the designer and the filmmakers on their vision, and discover the actors’ wish to take everything from the house home with them.
  • The Roses: An Inside Look – Hear from the cast and filmmakers about making The Roses. Learn about the actors’ connection and chemistry, and join the grounded, satirical, British, wry wit that only Olivia Colman and Benedict Cumberbatch can pull off.
  • Comedy Gold – This cast is stacked with comedy talent bringing Tony McNamara’s witty dialogue to life with Jay Roach directing. Even Olivia Colman had to ask about this special cast, “How the F did we get them?”

I don't recall seeing any advertising for this.  Odd, considering all of the talent involved.  Could be a fun little movie.

Been looking forward to this. It’s a remake but as you mentioned Scott, the cast is impressive. I saw the trailer a couple of times in theaters and it looked like fun.

No 4K release though?

Agreed on the cast.  Olivia Colman brings a breath of fresh air to all of her roles.  A pity we don't see more of her.

Sadly, it looks like the 4K is limited to digital only, not disc.  Maybe it will come to physical media if the sales are there on the other formats?

Per https://www.thewrap.com/the-roses-digital-release-date-physical-date-benedict-cumberbatch/ :

Quote
If you are more into physical media, it’ll be available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on Nov. 25.

Edit: Hopefully that’s accurate and not an assumption added as I don’t see 4K UHD mentioned in other versions of this.

Well, that's interesting.  I don't see any mention of a 4K disc in the press release or accompanying fact sheet.

I'll see if I can get an answer on that from the studio rep (and also mention that we prefer 4K physical media over a standard Blu-ray or 4K digital copy).

Thanks for pointing that out!

I already got an answer from the studio contact!  He verified that there is no 4K physical media release, just the Blu-ray and 4K digital.

Thanks for checking & verifying, Scott. I kind of suspected it might be an incorrect report as my edit suggested.

I probably wasn't going to buy this anyway to be honest, but it's still a little disappointing to hear that. I'd guess they have sales numbers to support that decision.
