In talking about movie theaters, I thought of the movies that I look forward to seeing this year and the movies I have seen this year. And I am saddened by the total lack of originality.

I am going to see :

Superman
There have been eight previous Superman movies .

Fantastic Four:
There have been three previous movies

Naked Gun
There have been three previous movies and one TV series

Jurassic World
There have been seven previous movies

Captain America
There have been three Captain America movies and four avengers movies, that isseven previous movies

Of course, this year, I have already seen the following:

Mission impossible
There have been seven previous movies

Wicked
This is a second movie, but I have seen five Oz movies

Dune:
This is the third Dune movie

Snow White:
This is the second movie

Ballerina
This is the fifth John Wick movie

These are just the tip of the iceberg. Hollywood has run out of new ideas.
