I’m really curious how/if this improves on the Blu-ray. While I love it, It’s not the highest quality production technically even its time.

Same here.  I hope it's not scrubbed to the point of looking waxy.  Some of the recent mono to Atmos soundtrack remastering haven't been much of an improvement.  

There are some new bonus features for those of us that care about things, so that might increase the value of the package
