Do you have any questions about new projectors, the new MadVR Envy Core, or any other products? Post them here and we will ask the manufacturers at Cedia.

Some question Mike gathered on " another website " regarding the new Epson projectors -

Some questions I already have into Epson. Those were HDR color space and is a color filter used for HDR. Also asked if laser is replaceable and a few other questions. Here is the full list so far.

  • If tone mapping is dynamic why does the projector use a 16 step manual adjustment?
  • Why are the top two projectors missing HDR10+?
  • Is there a high contrast lens coming and if so, when?
  • Will there be a consumer line of these like the 5050?
  • When are these shipping and how will availability be?
  • FTB enabled in all modes?
  • BT2020 mode on the LS12000 has a cyan push. Is that fixed in the Q models?
  • Is the laser replaceable and if so, price?
  • What amount of DCI does the Q models reach?
  • Is a color filter used with HDR to increase the color space and if so, lumen loss?
  • With the QB1000 being a UB model, is the native contrast higher than the LS12000?
  • Is FTB enabled in all modes?

Another question for Epson from a projector owner -

Why have you abandoned 3D? Is it that cost prohibitive? I know it's not mainstream but it was one of the determining factors in my not getting an LS12000.

I've been tuned out for the past few years.  Has CEDIA gotten back to normal, pre-Covid?

There isn't much I'm interested in upgrading right now, but always enjoyed the experience of attending and catching the meetups.
