Beautiful, just Beautiful
The early Disney films are great treasures. I had hoped that the company would release 4K prints of their most famous, early productions.
I was hoping that someday my prints would come.
And they have. This is a wonderful restoration of the original film, made in 1938, and was the first animated feature. The soundtrack is good, in DTS 5.1, although there is not to much surround, it sounds very good for a 80 year track.
It is a short, 83 minute film, with a very simple plot, lots of animals, and seven exaggerated characters. It is filled with old, familiar songs I remembered from my childhood, “Heigh-Ho", "Someday My Prince Will Come", and "Whistle While You Work."
I enjoyed this trip back into time, the images, the music and the characters.
