Marc and I are building a theater room in our home, believe it or not, we have never had one. Yeah, I know, they own a company that sells HT equipment and they never had a theater room? One of the perks of moving back to my home town ... basements.   Marc is going to post some pictures of the construction phase and will update as we add equipment and final touches. Stay tuned!

Our theater is slowly coming together. The front baffle wall construction is almost done.

Looks like your front soundstage has matching LCR speakers. Are you using the same for your surrounds? What's the make and model?

I have wanted to do and in-wall installation in my room but I have some acoustic challenges (mainly a support pole) to deal with and was afraid to commit to cutting the holes.

Since our theater is pretty small (12'x16'x 7'ceiling) I'm using 4 Triad bipole surrounds. Two at the rear and two on the sides. I'll also have some custom made diffusers next to the surrounds to make the room sound larger.

these arent "in-wall" so to speak....the baffle is constructed around the speaker and is not a permanent finished wall....you could def do this in your current room without cutting into existing walls.....

looks great....my room is almost the exact same dimensions...just 1'x1' bigger.  coming along nicely!
