 Star Trek: First Contact 4k

I just received my 4k set of Star Trek: The Next Generation. The first movie we put on was First Contact.

Wow, did we enjoy this.  On the JVC 4100 projector the image look better than it ever did in the movies. The picture was incredibly sharp, the colors were spectacular and the blacks and whites were outstanding.  The images and the sound (Dolby TrueHD 7.1) were so absorbing and well done.  I guess Atmos would have been better, but this was damn good and you felt totally immersed in the movie

This movie was the best of the 4 Generation films.  The acting, not just by Patrick Stewart but by Brent Spiner, Michael Dorn and the others was great. But the plot was so well conceived and played out.  The special effects, of course, are considered old now, but they looked so good!  A high recommendation, even if you have the blu ray.

I'm going to delete the old Blu-ray's of these film from my Zappiti NAS tomorrow and rip the 4K versions - and then plan a Star Trek marathon. You got me antsy with this post!
