Hard to believe South Park is still going strong..

For anime fans, Cowboy Bebop: The Complete Series is still worth checking out.
A true classic series, one of the first that I ever saw in anime.

I've still been watching it but it's been very inconsistent for years. Until the first 4-5 episodes this season - I don't know what happened but they were all outstanding.

I'm on the fence about the ST:TNG movies, but might grab The Maltese Flacon.

My shelf space is getting low so I need to be choosy.

You need to start converting  to mp4 or mkv and play off your home theater PC. :)

Yeah, I really do. I have a NAS with a fair bit of space. I got the reference BD drive last year. I just haven't started putting in the work to patch the firmware and start the ripping process. I've bookmarked links about it etc. though.

I just did that with my music collection. I'm using a small form factor Lenovo PC and JRiver for playback and file management. It supports video too if I'm not mistaken. I'll have to dig a bit deeper into the program.

I ripped my CD collection to mp3 in the early 2000s and then just a few years later, bit the bullet and redid the whole thing in lossless. That was a non-trivial project because I had around 2000 at the time. Fortunately I was working from home full time and not super busy so was able to complete it in several months. I have also been using JRiver MC for playback for most of that time. I recently tried Roon (got a 90 day trial on Black Friday sale) and there was a lot to like about it but there were a couple of key issues that were significant enough to me that, considering the recent increase in price for a monthly sub, made me decline.

I have some vinyl (not a lot but a few) that never made it to digital in any form, for various reasons. (Local/regional acts, masters were lost or destroyed, etc.) Also some CDs that aren't on streaming. Similar to how Craig and others view having the physical copy of a movie as being the guarantee of having access to a title, music streaming is a rights based access and that can change. Major artists have pulled their catalogs off one service or another in protest of something. Don't get me wrong - I do use streaming a lot (Tidal) and actually use it to play anything I have as it gives at least a small boost to the artist.

I still play CD's for dinner parties. My " jazz supper club " - with a 6 CD player. Zero streaming here. ZERO. I do have a lot of digital downloads of House music for Burning Man though.

I still have and listen to CDs and I especially like sacds. They give the best sound. I also still have records but, more and more, the less I use them. I like streaming FM stations from around the country because my local FM stations no longer play anything I like. One day I will sell my Day Sequerra.

there are streaming services that offer SACD quality and also HDtracks where you can purchase them.  Streaming music has gotten so good the difference is negligible tbh

True, but I ahve the music I like on discs and records so I don't need to stream. I have the Aurender N100H and use if mostly for FM radio and Jazz stations.  I also love that I can get the BBC.
