Do you guys think you'll ever see any open box JVC laser projectors?  I've only recall seeing B stock lately.

What the diff between b stock and open box
B stock is usually a refurbished projector. It went back to JVC for one reason or another. Open box is a new projector that somebody took out of the box and fondled. ::)

Open box also used to include a two-year warranty, while B stock was limited to one year.

Unless this has changed?

Open box is basically new, so same warranty as new. Whatever that happens to be.

Is open box gone through once returned? I would think I’d trust a b stick before a open box return

Yes - ain't nobody getting their money back prior to the projector being inspected and making sure it's all there and okay. Besides - you can only return a projector to us with under 4 hours of use, so it's not like an open box unit has much use.

Craig, could you clarify the warranty for B stock?

An earlier post said JVC B stock was limited to a one-year warranty, but in the latest AV Science newsletter, it states, "All B-Stock projectors come with a full manufacturer's warranty and perform as if brand new."

New units come with a three-year warranty (first year advance replacement).  What is the warranty for B stock?

Sorry to bother you with this question, but just want to be sure.

I'll put in a plug here as well.  My last two JVC projectors were purchased from AV Science, the first one B stock, the second open box.  Both were undisguisable from new, other than a few hours on the bulb.

One year warranty from JVC on b stock projectors. We do have aftermarket extended warranties to take that to 3 years.

What's the latest stock on B-stock JVCs? I haven't seen any recent posts from Laurie about any Friday specials so thought I would ask here.
