SVS InWall Subwoofer

SVS has an InWall subwoofer now, which I was not aware of until Cedia. Another great option for folks short on floor space.

You don't know until you see test results, but it's certainly going to be WAY better than not having any subwoofer in a room at all, because you can't fit one. The 3000 Micro is surprisingly good for such a tiny thing. Heard that one in Vegas at CES earlier this year.

True but if it’s the room is that small prob shouldn’t be trying to get a HT setup in there. Idk. Two 9” drivers? Shoved in a wall cavity sounds like a recipe for disaster to me

Not a fan of svs. They lost their way when they went to China and forgot their roots

I can see the need for in-wall in some cases. However, proper in-room sub placement is tricky, at best.

I would think that an in-wall installation for a subwoofer would likely be a sonic compromise unless you brought someone in who really knows how to measure a room's response.

That would apply to all inwall subs though - Triad, etc. But plenty of people install Triad inwall subs with their inwall / inceiling speakers.

In the case of my theater, sub placement wasn't tricky at all - they could only go where they could go. Just because they sound better in the middle of the hallway doesn't mean they are going there. Keeping them out of the corners helped though.
