Oh, man, is it that bad?  I skimmed some reviews, and it seems like the resolution may be less in the 4K, but the HDR makes up for it.  Plus, you get a new Atmos soundtrack.
I've got both and the Blu-ray looks better, and the soundtrack is just fine.

OK, you convinced me.  I canceled the order.  Maybe we'll see a better scan with the Atmos soundtrack some day.

Somewhere I have comparison screen shots. I'll have to find them.

Heads up everyone, Prime Days is on once again.

There are some deals to be found, but they're a little more rare than prior sales.

But, if you aren't afraid to look around, you can find some deals, especially if you pair the Prime sale with the Buy Two Get One Free deal.

For example, I picked up these three 4K movies for under $10 each tonight:

Galaxy Quest
The Ring
Maltese Falcon, The

We have two more Prime Days coming up:  10/7 and 10/8.  Some 4K prices have already dropped below $15 and could show up for even less starting tomorrow.

At the same time, they have their buy two get one free offer active right now (this may not be running tomorrow).  Look for this marking on individual titles:

If you can find three movies at this price, it brings each title down to under $10.

Here's a link that takes you to that sale (you can use the search field to restrict it to 4K and/or UHD):  Amazon.com: Get 3 for the price of 2 promotion

I've noticed that different movies will filter in and out of this sale, so your mileage may vary.

That page is rough. No way to filter out the still copious DVDs. But, there is a category selection on the left - and I couldn't resist clicking "Power Tools" out of total WTF?! curiosity.

Well, it listed 1 movie... Saw. LOL.

Yes, and some of the sale titles aren't listed.  I've found the best thing to do is click on the actual title and see if the 3 for 2 note is showing.  You might be surprised at what's available.  Here's what I just bought:

Nice adds for $10 each.

Also, be wary of this tag that looks close to the two for three, but is something completely different:

I have no clue how this one works.  The savings dollar amounts vary by title and don't seem to work in conjunction with each other.  I tried checking out with three different movies displaying that tag, but no discount showed up.  It works if you buy three copies of the same movie, but who's doing that?  Maybe you can get two local buddies to chip in?  Weird.

And then I just noticed this tag:

But clicking on the link takes you to an expired offer page.

There must be a lot of things changing during the course of the sale.

One of the members in our Discord chat discovered that Amazon is also running a 30% off sale on select titles and some of them are also part of the 2 for 3 sale, like The Chronicles of Riddick.  Here's the link to that sale:  Amazon.com: Save 30% on Movies & Films promotion

There are a lot of movies on that list that are not typically on sale (including some particularly racy titles), so it may be worth checking out even if they aren't part of the 2 for 3 sale.

Here's the latest batch I grabbed:

Here's a reminder for everyone:  A new round of Prime Days starts tomorrow (6/23) and continues through the 26th.

Deals usually come and go quickly, so check back frequently.  If you find something interesting, feel free to add to this thread.

Happy hunting!

I always keep multiple wish lists in several categories. If I check on the phone app, it gives an option to to show Lists then all Deals from any items on your Lists. Amazon is also doing more to give users what 3rd parties have been doing in showing price history and allowing price alerts.

This has been an overall bust so far, but there are a few gems showing up.

If anyone hasn't picked this up yet, the 4K Back to the Future trilogy is down to just $24.49, which is insanely cheap!

Thanks, Scott... grabbing it. One Battle After Another is $14.99, pretty good price on a recent movie.

Sometimes it's hard to find/filter 4K and Prime deals, but I think this link should work:

https://www.amazon.com/s?i=movies-tv&bbn=2958935011&rh=n%3A2625373011%2Cp_n_format_browse-bin%3A9397930011%2Cp_n_deal_type%3A23566064011

(I edited it down and tested, b/c I don't like super long links that include a bunch of extra session or whatever variables unnecessarily.)
