"Each cockpit of the multi-million jets had a brand new camera system, which allowed six IMAX-quality cameras inside. The Top Gun Maverick director Joseph Kosinski revealed that these six cameras were put in a different direction, four cameras looking back at the actor and two looking forward. There were two jets in the air, which means 12 cameras were being used constantly, without counting the ones on the ground and other exterior mounts."

I was able to download this film on Kaleidescape and the presentation is off the charts good. Video is sharp and detailed and the Atmos audio is outstanding. While there aren't a ton of directional overhead cues, the overall track is enveloping and the fighter jet sequences are all demo-worthy moments. Furthermore, the LFE is intense and packs quite a punch. Hopefully the UHD (and Blu-ray) release will match what K-scape brought to the table.
