Plot
For generations, the Price family has made very sensible, very conservative shoes for men.  But to save the business from imminent bankruptcy, young Charlie Price (Edgerton) turns to an unlikely new creative consultant: a fabulous drag performer (Ejiofor) whose creative style and wild designs are a breath of fresh air in the stuffy old factory.

My Thoughts
When the press release came across my desk for this release, I was torn about requesting it for review. The subject matter really isn’t my cup of tea, but I’m a fan of Ejiofor’s work and wanted to see how he would do in one of his early roles before he became more of a star. Overall, it surprised me quite a bit. It’s more of a drama than a comedy, which was unexpected, and Ejiofor definitely earned his Golden Globe nomination.

The presentation is pleasing and doesn’t really have any flaws or scenes that make you go WOW.

Conclusion
While I wasn’t blown away by the film, both my wife and I enjoyed it. The cast is terrific and there are some LOL scenes as well as some more touching moments. The film isn’t overly preachy either, which was one thing I was afraid of going in. The presentation is well done and if you’re a fan, you’ll be pleased.
