Rack cooling

Rack cooling
« on: May 19, 2022, 06:30:16 PM »
I'm in the process of redoing my network setup and one of the steps is to organize my crap into a rack. I've got a couple of patch panels, switches, gateway, firewall device, Wifi, NAS box etc. that will be in it and I'd like to add some airflow b/c it already is a bit warm at times. I'd like something that is temp triggered, fairly quiet, and ideally not more than 3 RUs for ingest / exhaust in total. (I'm not sure I need ingest but it might help.)

Looking at some of the 1U rack fans from AC Infinity. Some of the reviews raise questions about the capability of the small fans on those and that they are hard to replace with higher quality ones if desired.

Anyone have input/suggestions?

I've been using the AC Infinity fans for a while. I think they work great. They have a ton of fans in their line that covers most any situation.
