Audyssey MultiEQ-X

Joined a webinar describing the new Audyssey MultiEQ-X. It's like the Audyssey App, but way more powerful.

This should work with any receiver that can use the app.

I participated in that webinar as well. I am not well-versed in audio calibration at this level, but enjoyed it overall.

My impression was that since the underlying process is still MultEQ-XT32 (for those receivers with it), that it didn't seem like a major step forward. I guess I was thinking that it might close the gap to a Dirac level correction, but it seems like it doesn't.

$200 per license also seemed a bit steep, relative to the $20 app, although I do understand the PC-based system is quite a bit more sophisticated.

What was your take-away from this?

How much was the Audyssey Pro license? I think it was a lot more money. This looked like it has a lot of control but it's more than I can use. I could play with the app a lot more before needing this.
