Seeing deals starting today - Amazon & Best Buy seem to have quite a few for $10. Not sure about link for Amazon but here is BB page:

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/promo/hot-movie-deals?ref=8575135&loc=08a0c8fc3b2711ec8b7f9e6251c4153f0INT&acampID=08a0c8fc3b2711ec8b7f9e6251c4153f0INT

Of course, blu-ray.com is a good place to watch:

I saw that on Slick Deals. VERY tempting as a backup.

[Edit: couldn't resist, grabbed 2 to "shuck" and put in a 2 drive enclosure to serve as backup for my NAS, which I've been meaning to do for a while.]

i grabbed one as well.  $14/TB is a great value.  i bet they will be even cheaper in a few weeks.

In for one as well. Extended return period made it a no-brainer in case prices don’t drop further.

That deal must have ended.

I really need to build a NAS on a budget. Any suggestions? Mine would be mainly for my music and the wife's audiobooks.

I still see it - https://slickdeals.net/f/15367588-14tb-wd-easystore-external-usb-3-0-hard-drive-199-99-free-shipping

There are a lot of basic 2 drive NAS boxes out there that would be under $200 (without drives). I use a Synology NAS which is pretty easy to use/setup/maintain, has good support and a large user base so it's easy to get questions answered. I've got a pretty large lossless music collection (3500+ albums) and it's under 2 TB, so you probably don't need 14TB either.

There should be more deals coming - keep an eye on SlickDeals and search NAS etc.

Also one other note about NAS drives - stay away from SMR ("shingled") drives like Western Digital Red. WD Red+ is ok. SMR is less expensive but considered a somewhat risky drive technology that can be more likely to get corrupted over longer times. So if you're storing music for years it's not worth a small discount. Look for CMR or PMR drives.

(I'm going to have to check the 14TB drive but it's not quite as critical, being just a backup that will get overwritten regularly.)

OK, I see the 14TB drive. I was looking at internal drives.

"Easy Store" is a product line, not a drive type. The drive in the enclosure is a specific model among many that WD makes. I can't confirm the 14TB version until I get it tomorrow, but the 10TB Easy Store uses a WD100EMAZ, which uses traditional PMR. (First letter is the tech used for the magnetic layer "bits"; CMR/PMR = Conventional older tech using Perpendicular bits, S = Shingled so they overlap, which can cause issues.) But they don't always use the same drives in different capacity versions of a product, or even necessarily from year to year, so you have to verify with software or open the case to know what actual drive is in the enclosure.
