The World Series in 4k
« on: October 29, 2021, 05:13:36 PM »
I had an ohmygosh moment with 4k TV.

My sets are connected to the latest Verizon Fios 4K cable boxes.  Verizon lists 4 channels as having 4k but very rarely (usually only for special sports) are they used. On an occasion or two I tuned into them but found they were more or less experimenting.

While watching the first game of the World Series on Tuesday on my regular Fox station, a message appeared: Do you want to watch this in 4K A Yes button appeared as well as a Dismiss.  When I pressed Yes, it automictically turned to the 4k station.

I was startled.  The first thing I saw was the color of the Astros uniforms, orange, and it was incredible and beautiful. The Brave’s blue was very deep.  The flesh colors were so real, and you saw the details on their faces like I have never seen.  You can see the ball rotate when thrown.  The picture was incredible. It was great.

Not a football fan but I turned on their 4k broadcast on Thursday night. Not quiet as good, some of the colors were not as deep, but a great, great picture.

I canlt wait for 4K to become standard!
