The Suicide Squad No Spoiler Review

This is an incredible non-stop action movie that is not for the faint of heart.  Let me issue a “warning” that the violence here is overboard and very visual. I saw it in a DOLBY theatre but it is alos available on HBO MAX.

The movie is pure fantasy, very little here is improbable, it is all impossible.

While two of it’s stars, Viola Davis and Margot Robbie were in the las Suicide Squad movie, this movie actual has nothing to do with the first one. Idris Elba gives another outstanding performance  Here we are introduced to ten “super” villains who are offered reduced prison times if they go on a mission for the government.  The mission is to go to a small; south American country and destroy the secret weapon, or creature, they have kept hidden. The movie begins with action and really does not let up.  It also has a great deal of humor.

There are dozens of action sequences and incredible visual effects.  The best visual effect, of course, is Margot Robbie, who plays Harley Quinn.

James Gunn, who directed the Guardian of the Galaxy movie is the writer and director here.  Th movie is “R” Rated which tells you that children may be disturbed by the language, plot and violence.  I know I was.

The Video and Audio were good, but not zas good as the Black Widow. 4.5 out of 5 for both.

The people I saw it with would give it a least 4 out of 5 stars. Way to violent for me, I would give it 2.5 stars.

The first appearance of the Justice League of America in 1960 was one of the most important comics in history. Superhero comics were virtually dead in the 1950s when DC started bringing back their heroes, remade, one by one in the late 1950s. The Justice League United those heroes and became one of the best-selling comics of that time. Martin Goodman, publisher of Marvel comics, storied success and then copied it and created the Fantastic Four a year later. So the JLA was the most important Marvel comic that Marvel didn’t publish!!!

Here are the covers to both and you can see how the Fantastic Four coped the JLA.  The JLA’s first villain was Starro, a creature from outer space. This was the creature’s only appearance in what is called the Silver age of comics.
