Plot: This movie is based on the real-life Voskhod 2 space mission, which was the first time any human performed a walk in space outside a space capsule.
My Thoughts : I loved this film. It’s quite interesting to see the “ space race “ from the Russian perspective. This mission nearly turned into a disaster, similar to the Apollo 13 mission. Alexei Leonov – one of the cosmonauts on the actual mission, was a consultant on this film. I found it gripping and very well done. This a an edge of your seat gripping film!

I found this Blu-ray looked excellent. There were a couple of night scenes that showed some banding on my system, but overall this is an excellent looking Blu-ray. Space scenes looked spectacular.
Audio : 5 / 5. DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio tracks. I recommend the Russian soundtrack and English subtitles, which you need to select manually – default is an English dub ( never my preference ). On my system, this soundtrack was awesome. Good LFE and punchy.
Extras : There are several extras including real life cosmonaut Alexei Leonov talking about the mission.
Conclusion : An excellent real life Soviet space mission that’s right up there with Apollo 13 – highly recommended.
