In a recent press release, Marantz announced four brand new AV receivers which range in price from $1,099 to $3,199. All come equipped with 8K upscaling and 8K/60p HDMI pass-through thanks to the inclusion of HDMI 2.1 ports. So even if you aren't quite ready for 8K, your receiver will be.
The SR5015, SR6015, SR7015, and SR8015 will be joining Marantz's roster later this summer and come packed with exciting high performance audio technologies like decoding of today's most popular 3D audio formats. These formats include Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization Technology, DTS:X, DTS Virtual:X, IMAX Enhanced and Auro-3D. The flagship SR8015 adds in support for DTS:X Pro, giving it the capability to drive up to 13 channels of DTS:X with speaker configurations such as 7.2.6 or 9.2.4.
All receivers come equipped with Audyssey MultEQ XT or XT32 and are compatible with Audyssey's new Low Frequency Containment equalization technology for better realized bass performance. Music streamers will be happy to see HEOS streaming OS is included, as well as a high quality phono preamp for vinyl enthusiasts.
