The last Gruv sale was great but I could only find 1 movie in the 4K list that I really wanted so I passed. (Would've been at least 2 if I hadn't ordered The Northman for a bit more on an Amazon deal.) Keep it coming though!

I've had the same problem with the Gruv selections, with both the 4K and Blu-ray sales.  I found two of each that I wanted but couldn't find a third that I hadn't already bought to round out the total.

It took me by complete surprise to see 4K discs for $10; I thought those days were over.

There's still another August weekend coming up, so there could be one more round of Crazy Days deals popping up tomorrow.

Remember when Best Buy stopped selling movies?  Well guess what, they're back.  Kind of.

They aren't selling movies directly, but as a third party for companies like Gruv.

So, what makes this worthy of the deals thread?  Well, if you're a Best Buy rewards member (even at the free tier) they will occasionally send out rewards certificates for $5 or $10.  Applying that to 4K movies (or even Blu-ray) you can end up with a title for under $3, with free shipping!  I just picked up the 4K UHD Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer for under $6.

I built up our library over the years by using the $5 certificates over the years, so I'm happy to see these offered again.

Your mileage may vary, based on whether or not you're lucky enough to get the certificates.

Scott, thanks again for posting this. Got a $10 coupon today from BB and used it to buy The Phoenician Scheme. Nice that shipping was free even for a single title.

It wasn't under $3, or even under $15 but I haven't seen it drop anywhere and really want to see this one soon.

Until now, I probably let about five or six of these certificates pass buy since there wasn't anything to use them on.  Now that they're offering movies again, it makes it a lot easier to find something.

Many Criterion movies are currently on sale for 50% off at both Amazon and Barnes & Noble right now.

I'm not sure how long this will last, but they have these sales a couple of times per year.
