4K UHD Movie Deals !

This is an advance notice on what could be a great deal or a bust.  Gruv is announcing a one-day only "Gruv Day" on 5/23/2025.  There are no details, but they are hyping it up as 24 hours of deals.  There's a link right now, but it only takes you to their main page.

I'll try and update this when more details are available, but since I'll likely be working that day, it may be too late for some of you to check out.

They've offered some really good deals in past sales, so this may offer some true bargains.

Most of the 4K 2 for $24 titles were also available from Amazon when they had their $33 for 3 sales over the past few months, but there are some new additions, such as Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, which I haven't seen for that price before.

For 4K Steelbook lovers, there is a special 2 for $30 selection, but it's limited:  GRUV Day 4K Steelbook Deals - 2 For $30

It's not a bad sale, especially for anyone trying to round out their collection, but it's not quite as spectacular as I had hoped for.  It's still worth taking a couple of minutes to review what they have.

I ended up buying Children of Men and The Great Outdoors on Blu-ray from the GRUV sale. I wanted to buy Maverick as well, but it was sold out. Thanks for the heads-up Scott.

Right on the heels of their last sale, Gruv has another new 4K deal, just in time for Father's Day:

It's an absolutely huge collection, but mostly older titles.  Even so, I was able to find a couple of titles that had eluded me.

Clicking on the individual title will give you a clickable link to all of the sale items where you can search or filter for what you're looking for.  (There are a bunch of other items besides movies that you can choose from, so if you only find one title you may be able to match it with something completely different.)

Amazon has a bunch of 4K UHD Criterion Collection movies at 50% of right now.  Here's a link to some of them: Amazon Criterion titles.

I picked up two of my favorite foreign films - Jean de Florette / Manon of the Spring set for a ridiculously low $34.98.

Amazon, through Amazon UK, has the three-disc 4K Paddington series on sale for $45.20 right now.   That's about $11 less than it typically is.

It did tell me that international shipping is free, and the estimated tax will be $2.49.

My wife and I fell in love with the series after recently watching them, and the US doesn't offer all three of them in 4K.

Deep Discount has some 4K stuff on sale, plus a 15% coupon. I grabbed MI Dead Reckoning, and The Northman, for roughly $15 each.
