Damn, no screen shots?
I also saw this movie and I agree, it is worth watching..The interesting thing is that other kid Yorki was the one that really came to the realization of what was happening in reality a lot faster than the main character Jojo. Jojo still had his head in the clouds so to speak.. Anyways, greatly enjoyed the story and the acting. Well done.
Watched this last weekend with my wife and we both really enjoyed it.In the opening scenes I felt a little uneasy about a movie that was downright whimsical about Nazi Germany. However, they really made it work and the device of telling the story through the point of view of a naive 10 year old boy was a key. That was a challenging type of movie to pull off well and I thought that Watiti did it brilliantly. While the overall impact of what was happening is very muted due to that limited POV, the emotional punches that come with the nascent glimmers of understanding that Jojo experiences still carry a significant weight. The "shoes scene" was even more heartbreaking, which is also a credit to ScarJo's performance.
watched this again yesterday...such a great movie...Scarlett Johansen was outstanding as was the whole cast...great movie
