Plot
An embattled NYPD detective (Boseman) is thrust into a citywide manhunt for a pair of cop killers after uncovering a massive and unexpected conspiracy. As the night unfolds, lines become blurred on who he is pursuing, and who is in pursuit of him. When the search intensifies, extreme measures are taken to prevent the killers from escaping Manhattan as the authorities close all

to prevent any entry or exit from the iconic island.
My Thoughts
I tend to enjoy Chadwick Boseman’s work so when I saw this press release come into my email box, I just had to give it a look. Overall, it’s a middling affair mainly due to the leaps of logic that it takes to make the plot work. The first two acts set up the story decently enough, but the third act somewhat goes off the rails with “are you kidding me?” type moments culminating in the conclusion that’s a bit too tidy.

Conclusion
Overall, this is a competent thriller but its not something that has a lot of replay value. Bozeman does a great job, but the rest of the cast outside of J.K. Simmons is forgettable. Also, Sienna Miller costars and doesn’t have the ability to hang with Bozeman’s acting ability. Regardless, if you’re a fan of the genre, check it out.
