Warner and Paramount for years have usually released a 1:85 theatrically shown movie at 1:78 (open matte) on home video to appease 16x9 TVs. But I've noticed lately it seems they are fortunately sticking with original aspect ratio.
On my scope set-up and RS440, I watch those 1:78 disc movies at 1:85 and use the masking feature to trim off the very slim top and bottom slices. Works great.
I watched this, but for me it was a one-time viewing as well.
