Plot
For years, fans have been delighted watching their favorite physicists Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) navigate the universe and everyday life along with Penny (Kaley Cuoco), and fellow scientists Howard (Simon Helberg), Raj (Kunal Nayyar), Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch), as well as other beloved characters. Now that Sheldon has married neurobiologist Amy Farrah Fowler, he’ll have to make some serious adjustments to their “Relationship Agreement” in Season 12. Will their equation for marital bliss alter the chemistry between these two beautiful minds? Perhaps Leonard and Penny will provide the data as they experiment with variable in their own marriage. Meanwhile, Howard and Bernadette explore the principles of parenthood, and Raj considers a traditional arranged marriage. Quantum comedy converges in the twelfth dimension for the final season!
My Thoughts
After mediocre seasons the last two years, it was definitely time for this show to find a way to end things and go out with a bang. Thankfully, the twelfth season was excellent and pretty much every loose end was tied up nicely. These are characters that have become a part of my family over the past 12 years and I’ll definitely miss them. Then again, they are on TBS virtually every night of the week so I can always just pop in for a visit and see what the gang is up to. How a show ends is extremely important to long-time fans and I have to say that the final episode will make you laugh, cry, and leave you feeling completed. In fact,
Young Sheldon
had a tie-in sequence that gave us chills while watching it.
Now, I have a prediction to make. Within the next five years, there will be another Big Bang spin-off show. Now, I don’t know what it will look like, but I’m confident this isn’t the last we’ve seen of all of these characters. Seeing how great a show
Young Sheldon
is (it’s by far my favorite network TV show), I’m hoping to see the spinoff sooner rather than later.

Conclusion
I was instantly hooked the first time I saw this show so many years ago. It was something I watched for the first time in syndication and had to back and start at the beginning. It became a fixture of our Thursday night (and sometimes on Monday during football season) viewing and I will definitely miss them. If you’ve casually watched the show over the years and want to see how it ends, below is the final scene that has some minor spoilers but shows the evolution of Sheldon over the years and is definitely worth a watch. I can’t recommend this show highly enough.
