John Wick: Chapter 3 Parabellum (UHD Blu-ray) review
« on: September 11, 2019, 02:23:58 PM »

Studio: Lionsgate
Release Date: September 10, 2019
Rating: R
Film: 4/5

Plot
Super assassin John Wick (Keanu Reeves) has a $14 million price tag on his head after killing a member of the High Table, the shadowy international assassins’ guild. Now excommunicado, and with an army of the world’s most ruthless hit men and women on his trail, John must find a way to survive in this third chapter of the adrenaline-fueled action series.

My Thoughts
I’ve really enjoyed all of the John Wick films for what they are—mindless action movies with outstanding choreographed fights, balls to the wall action sequences, and just enough story thrown in to keep it interesting. While the story isn’t as strong in Chapter 3, the intense action and fight scenes are a step above the previous two films and makes this one hell of a ride. While Reeves probably won’t win any Oscars in his life, he’s tailor made for these types of roles. Hell, look at him shooting in real life:

His costar in the film, Halle Barry isn’t half bad herself:

As one would expect, the A/V quality is outstanding on this disc and helps with the overall viewing experience. While Reeves won’t win an Oscar for his acting, the sound editing on this film may be in the running—yes, it’s a two-hour demo reel.

Video 9.5/10

Audio 10/10 (Dolby Atmos)

Greetings,

We are on the same page here Dave. You have to take the JW films at face value. I also loved the A/V presentation.
